NRW - Death Scenes
« on: November 15, 2014, 03:02:01 PM »
Hi

I wanted to make a general announcement rather than respond to each of you individually. Unfortunately I cannot share my NRW collection with anyone because there is little else left that I need to add to my collection and also because I don't want to face any charges from the owner, I don't want to have to deal with him ever again and I'm sorry that I ever had to in the first place.

Two years ago I paid him for a SuperFan membership and also to produce a custom video. After 30 days I hadn't heard from him and so I emailed; after two days there was no response so I emailed him again. At the top of my email I wrote "2ND ATTEMPT".  His response was to tell me to relax, he wasn't going to be bullied by me, he said. From there he said, "do you want me to produce your video or do you want your money back?" I opted for the latter.  He said he would give me my refund by the end of the month.

I want to point out that he asked for 100% of the video production costs up front, but when it came to refunding my money it was going to take a whole month. Finally after the end of the month he paid me two payments of $50.  I lodge a complaint with PayPal but learned that with digital goods and services, there was nothing they could do.  Also, claims must be opened within 30 days of the original transaction.  So , in other words, my being patient with him and giving him 30 days to produce my video disqualified me for a PayPal refund.

Months passed and I asked him when I would receive the rest of my refund; he said that ever since I "freaked out" on him that he DECIDED he didn't want to have anything to do with me.

I filed a couple of complaints with federal and state consumer agencies over his unfair business practices--I never heard anything from them and I don't expect to.  I then started a Twitter page to express my displeasure. I also tried to escalate my complaint with PayPal. After that I received another installment from him: for $1. One dollar.  Later on he promised that he would extend my membership if I took down my Twitter page.  I complied but really I shouldn't have because he still cancelled my membership before it expired.

Go ahead and purchase a membership with NRW but I promise you that for every three people who join, one of you will be cheated.

Here is the list of clips with death scenes.  Most of them are available only to those with SuperFan memberships or they can be bought on a pay-per-view basis.  There are some good death stares and twitching but these are always at the end of the clip. Dave Calbrese does most of them although there are a couple of other guys.

I know what you mean!!!  Don't get me wrong, I love the site, he does a good job with the videos.  Him on the other hand, lets say I know exactly what you're talking about, I've done several customs with him.  It went down hill fast, I swore I'd never do another one, but time got the better of me.  I decided to try again, heard nothing for about a month, then sends me a email that the guys I wanted were never there at the same time.  So he used a new guy, if I didn't like it he'd redo it with whomever I wanted. First off I asked very explicitly in the first place if the two guys were available, he said of course.  You don't pay him to do a custom video, and it not be custom, so he can take your money then sell it the way he wanted to make it.  Yes, my own stupidity, I knew better.  Just should stick with the membership, no more customs. So now I get to deal with the nasty/rude messages.   I'm not into Twitter, but I think it's time, then I'm sure he'd cut my membership.

This is one of the reasons when the whole BRAWLNET thing came out I was concerned, since NRW had something to do with it.  The guys here are great, getting him involved in anything here, would ruin it.

I simply have to say it, that was some also feedback from you gentlemen who have experienced NRW membership problems. I don't think I'll be signinou up anytime soon that particular site. I almost feel like I just visited "Angie's List" and have gotten both sides of the issue. Consequently, no membership for me at NRW. I wrestled in high school and in college and rather enjoy the sport – I usually watch as much of the Olympic wrestling presentations when they are available. I just want to thank yO guys who have had experience with an NRW four honestly speaking their minds about their experiences.

I didn't like the owner either. And Dave Calbrese is awesome, I wish he'd do some stuff for BD. He not only does death scenes but also suffers awesomely and gets knocked out nicely too.

They're kind of hard to find on the site with these descriptions, the download name doesn't come up as the same.
487-005 is Burn Factor Lorenzos shining moment.  Lorenzo kills Dave by choking him to death with a belt.
SF096  Is Middle Eastern Cyborg, Jinn kill Dave

The other one I don't have, looks like the Saint and Dave, but the only one I could find with them is S0111.  I'm  big Dave fan, the Saint sucks.

Dave did a whole series with Butch, were they killed each other in different ways.  Bearhugs, choked, strangled and drowned.  The Drowned ones are really good, both Dave and Butch were fantastic at killing each other.  All the deaths in the series is good, this one is just my favorite.

Just keep in mind, for what you pay for individually adds up, you have to watch for his specials.  I'm a Superfan, and it's worth it, last time I only paid $250.  For that you get all videos, Super fan customs also.  He doesn't keep them straight either, in the site there are Superfan customs mixed in, not in the Super Fan location.

But avoid any custom ideas, the guy is a real prick, the first few I had went fine.  It's the whole thing were he doesn't reply, then when you get annoyed because its been a week or two, he acts like a 3 yr old having a fit.  I went into the sale site accidentally and found Super Fan videos that were not on the Superfan page, or general subscription page.  Told me I was having a hissy fit, he'd take care of it when he had a chance to breath.  6 months later he put them on.

Thanks.  That still leaves NRW0472-KRK=QT.  Guessing it's the 472nd video, but I've checked the numbers and noticed that there are a number around that range that aren't there

No you can't go by the number, they don't match up by release.  NRW0472-KRK  is Krush bearhugs Ken to death, which is supposed to be Dave's brother.
But in the Superfans there is Krush bearhugs Dave to death, that is S0127.

That guy at NRW is an absolute ass, he's ripped me off, and at least 3 other people I know of.  PayPal should take responsibility, all they are doing is providing money laundering for internet fraud.

Here's the link, it is a great site, I love the wrestlers. If for any reason you have to deal with the owner, be prepared, he can be difficult.  But he does do a great job with the videos.  If you like the site and videos, I would suggest doing one of the memberships. I have the Superfan membership, which means you get access to the Superfan customs.  However he doesn't put them all there, they are in the platinum membership area as well, just not all of them. Access for a year and you can download any of them.

As an FYI, after July 30th they won't be taking any more subscriptions, it'll all be pay per view.  I renewed for only $99, it is very much worth it.  Like I said the only real problem with this site is the owner, but you only have to deal with him when doing customs, and realistically with what is already in the store you won't need to.  There are thousands and you can DL them, I have over 700, sooner or later I'll get them all saved.
